Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Saltari.

Get answers to common questions about getting started, features, pricing, and how Saltari works for your club.

Getting started takes just 5 minutes and can be done completely solo. Simply sign up, choose your plan, and you'll have immediate access to set up your club. You can add members, create classes, and start managing operations right away. No technical setup or waiting periods required.
Saltari costs $150 per month or $1,500 per year (AUD, GST included). Unlimited students and unlimited locations are included, with no overage charges. One price includes every feature: scheduling, billing, enrolments, competitions, forms, and more.
Two costs come out of each payment your club takes: a flat $0.99 platform fee, and card processing at 1.7% + $0.30 for Australian cards or 3.5% + $0.30 for international ones. On a $100 invoice your club receives $97.01. Parents pay the invoice and nothing more. From 1 October 2026 the Reserve Bank prohibits passing card surcharges to customers on eftpos, Mastercard and Visa, and American Express is following voluntarily, so we have already made that change. Processing is a cost of taking card payments, and most clubs simply factor it into their fees the way they would any other running cost.
You get a full 2-month free trial with access to every feature, and no credit card is required to start, so you have time to set up and migrate from your old system without any pressure. Near the end of the trial we will remind you to choose a plan (monthly or annual) and add a card to keep going. Cancel anytime during the trial and you will not be charged a cent.
We support all major credit cards and debit cards. Members can set up automatic payments for recurring fees, and you can also process manual payments. Members are never charged a card surcharge on top of their invoice. All payment processing runs through Stripe and is PCI-compliant.
Absolutely. We use industry-standard security practices including encryption, secure authentication, and regular backups. Your data is stored securely on Australian servers with enterprise-grade protection.
Yes. One subscription includes unlimited locations. Multi-site clubs run everything in one place: multiple facilities, classes, and staff from one account. Each location can have its own classes, pricing, and staff while sharing member data across locations.
We provide comprehensive support through email, help documentation, and training resources. Our team is available to help with setup, questions, and any issues you encounter. You'll have access to step-by-step guides and can reach out whenever you need assistance.
Yes, parents can create accounts to view their children's classes, attendance, payments, and schedules. They can also make payments, update contact information, and communicate with coaches through the parent portal.
Yes, and it goes further than an export. Invoices and payments reconcile against Xero, and approved coach hours become timesheets in Xero payroll against the earnings rate you choose, so the hours you signed off are the hours that get paid. GST is shown as its own line on the invoice, so what a family receives is a valid tax invoice rather than something your bookkeeper has to rebuild.
Yes. GSA membership can be billed on a date you set each year and pro rated for students who join partway through, so it goes out with everything else instead of being chased by hand each season. You set the fee amount and the billing date, and the run happens on its own.
Yes. WWCC numbers and expiry dates sit on the staff record alongside first aid expiry and background check status. The point is to see an expiry coming rather than discover it when somebody cannot be rostered. Australia has no single national check, so the field takes whatever your state issues.
A family requests a makeup, you approve it, and the request holds a real place in the class you nominate. It is not a note on a list: the spot is genuinely reserved, so the session cannot take more children than it has room for. Cancel the request or let it expire and the place goes back automatically for someone else to use.
The next family joins a waitlist rather than being turned away. When somebody drops out, the first child waiting is moved into the free place on their own, so the spot does not sit empty while someone remembers to check the list. You can see who is waiting for what across every class.
Yes, and it is included rather than sold separately. Judges score on tablets, results calculate per division and age group so a level three gymnast places against other level threes, and a public scoreboard updates live for families in the stands and relatives at home. Concerts and displays work the same way, with numbered routines, a running order, cast lists and a backstage check in that records who dropped a child off and who collected them.
Yes. Punch passes suit families who cannot commit to a full term, and a punch is only spent when it is actually used. If an enrolment is cancelled before the child attends, the punch goes back rather than disappearing.
Most clubs allow a term. Students, families, classes and enrolments come across. Payment history and saved cards do not, so ledgers start fresh and parents re-enter a card once. There is a written guide covering the order to do it in. The two months free exist so you can run both systems side by side rather than switching over a single weekend, and founding clubs have the migration done for them at no cost.
It is yours and you can take it. Ask and we will export your students, families, classes, enrolments, attendance and financial records in a standard format you can load somewhere else. We would rather you left with your records in good order than felt stuck with us because of them.
Yes. Dance, martial arts, cheer, swimming and equestrian clubs run on it too, and equestrian clubs get a horse register, meetings and minutes, club funds and a committee register on top. The parts that differ by sport are switched on per club rather than sold as separate products.
